The scoring is pretty basic
5 games per block
3 teams per pair
each game
4 points for 1st
3 points for 2nd
2 points for 3rd
overall
4 points for 1st
3 points for 2nd
2 points for 3rd
Bonus Points
200 to 224 = 1 point
225 to 249 = 2 points
250 to 274 = 3 points
275+ = 4 points

I would also like to congratulate the rest of the bowlers
for making this such a wonderful tournament.
In the past, this has always been a fun tournament and this time proved no disappointment.

The vacant score was explained at our briefing.
We checked for a tournament average
from our past marathons and worked out
that 171 was an average score and applied a 20 handicap based on
the 70% of 200 system. Therefore if you bowled 191 against a vacant
score you drew and you needed to bowl 192+ to win your points.
Bowling the vacant score over the tournament proved to have a
very mixed bag of results bowled against. Bowlers didn't always
win or lose their points which was the result we were looking for.

Congrats W'bee on a great tournament...always enjoy em. Thx to my teammates, pleasure to bowl with you... Ralph, thanks for getting us out of the **** and to Craig ryan, gun of all guns, you just keeps getting better. To average 218 on that condition which was no gimme, you've showed your class once again. Congrats to the winners and everyone else for having a crack.
