He isnt a local. Just someone that likes to come on here and talk about how supposedly crap Berri Bowland is just because he couldn't bowl well in the two tournaments he participated. But I guess it had nothing to do with his bowling ability. Must be the centres fault. Anyone can blame the equipment, but at the end of the day your the one bowling the ball!

Seems like a very tough pattern. Goodluck to the top 16 for tomorrow!

Mt Gambier or Warnambool were never that hard and some yrs they were HARD. C.an i have a go at doing the lanes next yr 189 will be bottom cash spot not top qualifier

Mate, best you find out the whole story first before you come on here having a crack at someone you don't know, about something you don't know about and about lanes you obviously have not bowled on.

Qualifying, they must be brutal.

They were always going to be tough. Bit harder than last year from the look of things. Always going to be a stuggle with the weather warming up as well. Suppose the 120 unit's of oil post should not have been put up as it is almost an impossible call and may have caused some to take the wrong equipment with them..

All the best to those bowling today. I'm tipping Mr. Hinton Snr. will move up the ladder today;)

yes yes i dont think i need to leave my comment on here as there will be plenty more to come from some very un happy people tonight not once did i here a good comment thrue the night i feel sorry for those who come from 210+ averages and drop to 180 average goodluck for those bowling today your all going to need it and next year i hope alot of thought goes into the pattern

How can you make an assumption that Conor hasn't bowled on those lanes before???

I know for a fact that he has!

Sorry to come across narky but I just don't get it when people post on here, making assumptions about another person.

First of all, I have always said Berri is a good bowl and runs great tourneys, they just don't have the equipment to put down a better pattern. They do the best they can with what they have. That is a fact and I know they tried to do something about it this year.

Second of all, the reason I am not bowling has nothing to do with the pattern. It has to do with things that happened behind the scenes last year that have not been mentioned on here and have nothing to do with the way the tourney runs.

Unlike other hypocrits who say stuff behind their back, I actually say what I mean and I actually spent 6 weekends last year trying to help them with things before the tourney.

So how about you get your facts right before you go shooting your mouth off and trying to look important like others do in here. People like you should just ---- off and engage your brain before you start typing.

Whether it is Berri or any other tourney, people need to give CONSTRUCTIVE feedback so that things can be changed if required. Making comments to others once you leave the bowl is not good for the sport or the centre.

I am sure all tourney directors and management of the centres running tourneys are more than happy to hear feedback whether it is good or bad.

QUOTE]
I have it on good authority that Berri Bowland approched Mildura bowl and asked to borrow their oiling machine. The question that must be asked is: WHY is a new centre asking to borrow an oiling machine for a tournament when they have been (quoted as )"state of the art centre in the middle of nowhere"!.....

congratulations to george for takeing the tournament and bowling 299, im not saying at all that it is owners/managers fault at al i think they did a good job to hold a lot of ppl in there and stay on top of it, i just felt sorry for those who travelled from all over and put out alot of money, but congratulations to those who did bowl well it was very tuff

If that is in fact true then they must have known there was an issue to start with and must have been trying to do something about it.

If this is true should they have postpone the tournament or at the very least explained this to the bowlers? It is such a shame because the centre is truly awesome.

had a great time there this year, line was tight for bowling averages where low .I met up with all lot off new bowlers this plus bowlers from the past.Hats off too steve and the staff of the bowl the tournament ran like a charm
