Thought this interesting!

Aspley Bowl has a couple of these balls for their disabled bowlers...... quite a nifty idea, not only for the disabled, but also for those whose arthritis gets so bad that they are not able to bowl conventionally anymore. Would allow you to bowl well into the twilight years!!!!

Yeah, seen them in every centre ive ever bowled league in.

They are a great idea, and enable everyone to enjoy the game :D

I used to see a couple of those floating around the bowl here awhile back, very good for the disabled so that they can continue to play the game.

Had a couple of shots with them, felt really strange, but I guess you could get used to it after awhile. Very novel idea.

Hi, Fitzy, The ball was patented in the US under patent #4,332,383, issued in June, 1982, to Morton Milden. It has been in use by wheelchair bowlers and other "physically challenged" bowlers. Of course, it is not legal for able-bodied bowlers. One has to have either an obvious disabling, such as amputation, or have some other proof of disability, doctor's note, etc.
