Jason Belmonte wins Euro Challenge

In a championship match between two players who use both hands to swing and bowl the bowling ball, Jason Belmonte of Australia defeated Osku Palermaa, Finland, 256-222, en route to win the Brunswick Euro Challenge at Strike Bowling Club in Thessalonica, Greece, and the 15.000 Euro first-place check. It was the first career title on the European Bowling Tour for the 2004 World Bowling Writers International Player of the Year.

Belmonte, the No. 2 seed, ousted Mubarak Ali Al-Muraikhi, Qatar, in the semi-final, 213-189. The Qatari, who won the first leg of the 2006 Asian Bowling Federation Tour, Feb. 28 on his home field in Doha, won the opening match against 2001 World Games champion Tobias Gäbler, Germany, 214-198.

Palermaa pocketed 8.500 Euro for second, Al-Muraikhi, received 5.500 Euro for third and Gäbler garnered 4.000 Euro for fourth place.

Belmo won the Kuwait International last year for $20000US :D


Kinda proves my point, we have no one up and coming or current that comes close.
 
Thats just great, a huge congrats to Belmo for his efforts in the Euro Challenge, simply legendary. i'd love to get some video if anybody has it....?
