House Tournament Suggestions

Just A Bowler
Hi all,

We recently held an Irish Stew tournament where bowlers qualified in league with 3 different formats for 3 games: 9 No Tap, Spares are Strikes and Automatic strikes in frames 3-6-9, Finishing it off with a 6 game final. To an extent this was successful and we would like to continue to get our league bowlers involved..

So I am looking to hold another house tournament but I am lacking some, you could say, imagination..

Does anyone have any suggestions on a simple format for a tournament that they may have seen, bowled in or made up themselves?!

Any ideas and suggestions welcome and much appreciated!!

Thanks

I'm in the process now

Have a google of BAKER format or a 40 frame game (yup 40 frames one game).

Baker is where you would a teams of 5 bowling together over the single game.
bowler 1 bowls frames 1 & 6
bowler 2 bowls frames 2 & 7
bowler 3 bowls frames 3 & 8
bowler 4 bowls frames 4 & 8
and
bowler 5 gets frames 5 & 10

as for the 40 frame game - your centre will need to have BOSS system to run it and not computerscore. Check this out here http://www.40framegame.com/home/index.html

Thanks to Bary Glack for this website :D
