A great weekend for Philip Drummond (ex NT bowler) who dominated this Tour Stop with his 250.9 hcp. ave. and 235.9 scr. to win both Handicap and Scratch divisions. Bradley Kleidon with 241.9 hcp. finished in 2nd place and Gold Coast's Dave Kirby took out 3rd with 241.6 hcp.
Scratch division runner-up was the ever consistent Darryl Alford with 234.3 which also gave him a nice little $110 bonus in the Scratch Pool as Philip did not nominate for the Pool. Local Aaron Midgley took 3rd place (232.9). 22 bowlers entered the Scratch Pool for a total pool of $440 paid to 7 bowlers. A nice bonus!
'Rocky' Mottlee had a good day finishing top of the Puffs Hcp. (233.1 hcp) ahead of Gold Coaster, Tanya Stevenson (231.1 hcp) and Sunny Coast's Melinda Caldwell was the family star this time with her great 3rd place (226.0 hcp)
Tanya Stevenson was a class act in the Puffs Scratch divion with 233.1 ave. Alicia Melton 222.3 followed by sister Bek Meads 221.8 were placings. 7 Puffs averaged over the card with 25/30 bowling above average.
54/75 Balls were over average. A pleasure for the supporters to see plenty of 'smilies' and a real kick for us to have so many of the 'young things' following up on their Junior Nationals trip and successes.
