Luke Rafton finished the 2011 Twin Tour year off with great success - Handicap win, Scratch win and Scratch Pool win - he also finished in 7th place in the Minus Club for the year.
Luke headed Ray Trenham and Brian Adams in the Handicap division - with Daniel Smith heaving a big sigh of relief for his 22nd and last of the $$ places. Young Zack Caldwell had the highest Balls game of the day with an excellent 296 .... a bit disappointed but a lot of years ahead of him. Some excellent performance by some new Tour bowlers and also some up-and-coming talent in there for the money.
Scratch Balls saw Luke (236.1)in front of Adam Willersdorf (230) and the vastly improved over the year Aaron Midgley (229.3) and of course, Hamo could not finish outside the $$ with his 4th place only 2 pins back.
Rebekah Meads blitzed the Puffs field with her 223.5 handicap and the second highest average of the day behind Luke 231.5. She also had a high game of 290. Sharon Crouchen showed how consistent she has been in 2011 with yet another big placing to be 2nd behind Bek with Lindsay Schuler in 3rd. These Puffs are certainly showing the benefit of a Nationals campaign and plenty of games under their belts. Toowoomba's Kathy Waterhouse was the final Puffs Hcp. place for some money. Some great results in the handicap division.
Bek's average naturally topped the Scratch Puffs but a solid performance for Jacinta Gilliland (197.3) and Senior 'chick' Julie Hird (196.5) gave these bowlers some money also.
