Here's one for the computer nerds...

Recently had trouble with my desktop not recognising USB sticks, etc but the USB mouse worked perfectly. Resorting to the ultimate information resource (Google...) I found a webboard that recommended switching off the wall outlet, and letting it rest for 30 mins. Sure enough - it actually...

    Number plate frames...

You know those frames that dealerships have around the number plates when you buy a car? I was wondering if bowling manufacturers also bring these out as a novelty accessory. If so, where would you have to go to get them?

    Careful what u wish for...

ok don't know how this is going to go, but... this has been done on an unrelated site and I think it's a bit of fun. The first person puts forward a wish they have, and the next person finds a way to sabotage it, as well as putting forward their own wish. E.g. first post: I wish I was more...

    Chris Wegert

Well, I'm Chris. I'm 21 and studying secondary education at James Cook University in Townsville. Bowling: Pretty tame really, bowled 5 years as a Burdekin Rep in the Junior NCZ team and once as an adult member. Not doing much bowling at all now because of uni , but I was averaging...

    Memorable Quotes

The "Quotes" thread got me thinking and I'm asking the question: What is the best quote you have ever read/heard? Here's my submission: "If somebody can offer you everything you have ever wanted, imagine what they can take away..." (Movie Quote: The Skulls) AND (for the poker lovers)...

How many balls do you need?

How many bowling balls do you see as absolutely necessary for the tournament bowler. I would like to start bowling in some bigger competitions and I'm not sure how many one needs to compete at a suitable level.

    How did that happen...?

See if you can match this... Leave a 3-10 from the full deck. But when you try to spare it, you have to slide the ball in between the two pins without touching either one. I've done it heaps of times and I still can't work out how. Same with the 1-3.

    QUEENSLANDER!!!!

Well... it looks like fate comes back to bite the Blues eh? Even a blatant refereeing stuff-up (or two) couldn't prevent the mighty Maroons from claiming what is rightfully theirs - the State of Origin series! QUEENSLANDER!!!!

    The Perfect Two Ball Arsenal...

With the current market being flooded with so many types of gear, it's getting harder and harder to work out what to buy. I have a Fuze Igniter, and I'm looking to buy either one or two bowling balls that will complement with the Igniter for an all-round performance. Budget aside, I'm willing...

Looking at starting a bowling magazine

Not sure if this belongs here but anyway... A friend of mine and I are working on a bowling magazine that we hope to bring out every two months. The idea is basically to combine news and information about the bowling world into a single periodical. So far we have a few ideas about the content...

Should bowling leagues be based on different categories?

I was going to post this under George's question of whether bowling is a game or a sport, but I have since changed my focus. In response to this question, tenpin bowling is in my eyes a 'pseudo-sport' but more has to be done before it catches up to sports like rugby league and soccer. What...
