Here's what I do know - World Match Games New Year's Day Marathon at Carolier Lanes, North Brunswick NJ.
1:00 start time - $165 entry fee. Game pots are $20, high game of the day $5 and high-roller spot $10. $5 brackets in games 1-2-3, 4-5-6, 7-8-9. Last year there were over 700 brackets. There are also 32 man and 64 man brackets.
Prize list - Based on a full field (it was full last year, 240 bowlers), $5,000 for 1st, $3,000 for 2nd down to $200 for 40th. There is also a prize for high first 5 games and high last 5 games (7 places each). This special prize is included in the entry fee.
Scoring - This marathon attracts most of the top players from NJ, NY, CT and PA. Last year +380 (approx) was the winner and +120 for 40th.
11:00 check-in, they will hold your reservation until 12:30. Reserve a spot by e-mail to [email protected], or call 973-714-3248.
10 games with 6 on a pair likely (It was 6 last year). Kfrog special - there is a senior prize fund (extra $50 entry fee) with $800 on top. There are also senior brackets.
