Kodak picture software

I've got some pictures on this i'd like to be able to play back through media player, do i save the pictures to c drive or into media player?

I use Canon software but I make sure that I put all images into My documents my pictures as well as the Canon zoombrowser program. The software has been known to get corrupted and wmp isn't the most reliable thing invented.
What ever else you do, back up to disk on a regular basis.
