I thought I would kick it off with a non bowling related topic. There is a cool Japanese place at Chermside which make the best chicken curry but I'll be stuffed what they put in the saice which makes it so go. I've searched the net but nothing close. Anyone?

I could tell ya Indian curry mate but Japanese?? I love Indian and have made it but japanese....

If its Katsu you're after

I'm a little confused as to what you're after

Katsu is a japanese style of frying meats.

Basically its meat (in your case chicken) sliced finely and crumbed and lightly pan fried. It generally comes with a tangy dark sauce which tastes heavily of soy.

Thats chicken katsu, however I don't know where the curry comes into it.

Perhaps its a house speciality

Thank for the replies. It is really the sauce I am looking for. I found this one on the net

as a result will go searching some asian grocers looking for some japanese curry powder (go figure).

Anyway, here is a picture of the sauce. Just imagine there is chicken under the sauce and that basically what the dish looks like.
