a change of heart

on Saturday night Top Ryde bowl held a spot rolloff for a Brunswick Cup entry.15 bowlers turned up and the lanes were washed and oiled.after the first ball was thrown you could tell something was not right, some bowlers pulled out and the rest continued. After game 10 Brad Menarkinson(sorry about the spelling) informed the bowlers that Top Ryde bowl would pay the entry of all the bowlers who bowled the spot rolloff because due to the machine breaking a seal and washing when it should of been oiling it disadvantaged most of the bowlers. Now being one of the first people to BAG a bowl or tournament if something goes wrong, I would just like to CONGRADULATE, Roy and his staff at top Ryde for not only telling us what happened but for also taking the time to show a hell of a lot of good will to the bowlers by reimbersing them with a free entry. Both Roy and his son Brad deserve to comended on the way they handled the situation and I hope other bowling centre managers and owners take a leaf out of there book and start to own up when mistakes are made at there end. Once again CONGRATULATIONS to Roy and Brad for their decision.

Cameron..Top Ryde is part of the BowlAustralia group...see you at one of the others on Friday week.
