EPL starts up again this weekend. United have only strengthed their squad over the Summer. Two impressive youngsters, the solidarity of Hargreaves in the middle and the masterclass of Tevez up front!
Will they retain their trophy? Without a doubt! No other team has strengthened as well, and they got rid of the dead wood within the team!
Another Glorious season for United coming up!!!!!
GLORY GLORY MAN UTD!!!

Hey Cow,

It will be very interesting to follow all the Aussies in the EPL this year, intersting to see Bresciano has joined Man city, will be a interesting season.

Cheers

Looking forward to seeing the new team back in the EPL after how well we played in the asian tour and bringing home the silverware after beating chelsea in the Charity Shield... Man United for the treble!!

Tonight!!!!
Exciting times lay ahead. Could very well be one of the best seasons in the Premier League. Many teams now have the ability to spend big. The English league is without a doubt, the biggest and best in the world!!
GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!

History suggests its game over for Man Utd.... How often to Charity Shield winners go on to win the main event?

Too many similar players at Old Trafford.... will probably get the job done against the ordinary teams but how will it hold up against fellow power houses? (Who is your power forward?)

I have an feeling that if it comes down to how Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United go against each other the league will be won by either Liverpool or Chelsea.

Promises to be a huge season,

My predictions
1. Chelsea
2. Manchester United
3. Liverpool
4. Tottenham
5. Arsenal
6. West Ham
...
...
...
18. Middlesborough
19. Wigan
20. Birmingham City

Shock Result: Reading steal late winner in opening fixture - Reading 1 Manchester United 0... (Oh how I wish!!) :p

May the footballing god's smile on your team!

nice to see that man united struggled against ten men reading last night. even if they were without rooney, they still should have got past reading (quality team but not up to big 4.5 standards)... go the goooners, late hleb winner seals it against a stronger than last year fulham. chelsea too were pushed by the other newcomer Birmingham so it was a good weekend for the game...

Chelsea dominated Birmingham... the 3 points deserved to stay at Stamford Bridge...

As for Fulham being stronger then last year.... What are you smoking? THey will go extremely close to dropping this season - hardly an impressive start by the gunners (who WILL slide this season...)

Most impressive teams this weekend were Newcastle and Manchester City, who tore their respective opponents to threads...

Most disappointing were Tottenham. The lack of width and strike power must be concerning for Martin Jol and his future at the club (he has spent the 2nd most amount of money of any club currently in the top flight). That being said, I was rapt to see Sunderland win - they (like Fulham and the three teams mentioned in a previous post) will struggle to avoid relegation so it was great to see them get a little jump on their relegation rivals...

Actually come to think of it.... how will you get the job done against anyone? :p

3. Chelsea 6pts
6. Arsenal 3pts
12. Man Utd 2pts :D

At the moment... this looks like quote of the year.
As much as it hurts like hell to say it... Arsenal are the form team in the EPL (Notice I didn't say they were the best, just in form) Can the youngens keep a cool head when the loss comes this weekend against the Pool? Let's hope not!!
I'll be definately cheering on the Pool this weekend. I only do it 4 times a year!
The real rarity here is me wanted Chelsea to actually draw. They are no longer a threat this season, top 4 most likely, but the title seems to be already out of their grasp. And Let's face it, the sooner Svenski and his City boys are out of the top 4, the better for everyone!
