Volunteers needed

Fancy a bit of volunteer work with the best view of Adelaide? The CFS at Mt Lofty would love to hear from you.

The fire tower at Mt Lofty is manned every day during fire ban season by two volunteers, each on shift for 4½ hours. Members would normally be expected to cover no more than two shifts per calendar month however a shortage of volunteers currently means members are on duty for four of even five shifts per month.

We need help. Can you give 9 hours per month? CFS members are trained in fire spotting and radio procedures, undergo training once per month at Belair fire station plus an annual burnover session on a fire truck and you get a uniform and the satisfaction of knowing you are contributing to the community.

The more members we have the less the individual load. Can you help?
