1. Illawarra Strikezone 25pts.
Steven and Ingrid Johnson, Justine and Karl Proksch are the new Intercentre National Champions after a victory that was all but wrapped up after 5 games of the 7 game final. They arrived as practice had commenced, and with Steven not feeling 100%, called in Karl to substitute after 2 games. All four bowled in excess of their averages and ran away with the tournament.
2. Ashmore (QLD) 22pts
Brian Looby bowled the high game of the final with a 260, but it wasn’t enough to overhall Illawarra. Again, some great team bowling to take away the Silver medal.
3. Belco Boys (ACT) 20 pts.
Were locked in a tight battle for 3rd spot with CHiPs and came home slightly better. The efforts of Joshua Smith bowling a 156 avg for 7 games won the bronze medal for his teammates.
4. Dilligaf (QLD) 18pts
5. CHiPs (QLD) 16pts
6. Fairlane City (WA)16 pts
7. Bunbury Bandits (WA)13 pts
8. Cannington All Stars (WA)10pts
So … NSW were the winners …. And QLD toweled up WA. A good, fun tournament played in the right spirit. Well played, everyone.
