Jason Walsh takes over the lead after day 2

Jason Walsh from Ballina, NSW continued his good form from last weeks win in Darwin to overtake last night leader Paul Trotter in the Perth Cup held at Fairlanes in Perth WA.

With games of 255 223 203 193 203 221 208 238 today Jason finished on an impressive +301.

Jason Belmonte from Orange also made a charge for the lead finishing 2nd on +298 only 3 pins beind Walsh. Paul Trotter dropped to 3rd after an ordinary day in the office.

Todays big mover was Andrew Frawley who shot games of 247 258 188 179 237 279 269 201 for +266 today and a +267 overall total to move into outright 4th place. Andrew McArthur rounds out the top 5 on +257.

The eventual cut came down to the wire in the 10th frame of the last game with Brett Smith doubling for a 235 last game and Greg Ball doubling in the 10 for a 202. Both bowlers needed doubles to pass Steve Wimbridge who eventually finished 17th. The cut to progress through to the finals was +14.
