Synthetic approaches in Brisbane area

leftos

Finally retired yippi
Hellp there,
I bowl with a couple of junior bowlers that have not bowled in a centre that has synthetic approaches. Being ex tasmanian I have not bowled in all the centres in the Brisbane and surrounding areas, so could you let me know where i could find one and give the kids a run on them

Chermside has synthetic approaches.

It worth while doing that for the juniors.

I found it difficult to bowl back in Sydney with the synthetic approaches after playing so much on wooden approaches up here.

Thanks Chowny,

Yeah know the feeling when i represented tas in ATBSO in sydney I found them to not have enough slide mind u I only had a old pair of AMF shoes then, but i did notice a few WA team members with a sock on the sole of their slide foot???

thanks for the info

Did you find the wooden approaches faster? I have a fairly big slide, & I seem to stick on synthetics...

Me personally, definatly. Wooden apporach's are tend to be alot more consistent from centre to centre also.

i would have to agree to that to

i have bowled on 4 synthetic approaches in my bowling( i thought it was more).. and they were all different, one stuck too much then another one you could side forever...

with the wooden approaches, they are roughly the same(unless they have just been resurfaced)

I would agree that all wooden approaches tend to be more or less consistant with the exception of Werribee - could not stop sliding to save my life on the two occasions I was there!

The stickiest approach I ever bowled on was at Tuggeranong in Canberra.. couldn't slide to save my life on those synthetics..
