Silver and Bronze for Australia in Mixed Doubles

George Frilingos and Anne-Maree Putney combined to win SILVER and Glen Loader and Tracey Madden have won Bronze in the Mixed Doubles event at the III Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championship, bowled in Melbourne Today.

Frilingos and Putney combined together in the morning squad to shoot a combined total of 2618 both rolling 1309 for the Silver Medal. Loader and Madden the junior members of this Australian outfit both from Victoria, combined together on the afternoon squad to shoot 2611 just 7 pins behind there senior team members.

England’s pairing of Dominic Barrett and Fiona Banks won the GOLD with a combined total of 2675.

Highlight of the afternoon was Glen Loader’s 240.8 average for his 6 games with a low game of 214 for the day.

Frilingos and Loader both sitting 2nd and 4th respectively in the Men’s’ all events!! Anne-Maree Putney is leading the Ladies after 18 games and Tracey Madden is 10th overall.


Top 12 Bowlers Qualify for Masters Round Robin Final.

Australia’s medal tally after day 3 sits at

1- Gold
2- Silver
3- Bronze

The Aussies are really giving it to the other countries & it's great to see.

A special mention to Glen who rolled an average of 240 for the 6 games. That's just awesome bowling.
