The PBA has just finished day one of qualifying,Pepsi Red, White and Blue Open presented by the USBC.

Very high scoring,out of 119 bowlers 113 over the card.

I personally like this idea, every one bowling knows what they will be up against
it also shows how good the PBA bowlers are.

The next few days when the patterns change will be very interesting.

However, what it also shows is that someone knows how to lay the patterns and you have to remember that these patterns are being used by the top bowlers in the country not the Restricted and Senior bowlers.

Cassidy Schaub, a two-handed bowler who throws the ball from the left side, averaged 258.7 Tuesday to take the first round lead in the Lumber Liquidators PBA Pepsi Red, White and Blue Open at Northrock Lanes.

I'll be going down tomorrow to hopefully watch the first squad before I have to be back at school. I believe the patterns are gradually getting more difficult as they go.

Got to witness some bowling before needing to be back at school. I saw Cassidy's second 300, Norm's 287, and then Machuga's 300. While the patterns aren't hindering, these guys are making high quality shots. Going back down to watch the end of qualifying. The pins at Northrock don't exactly put up a fight, and combined with the softer patterns, these guys are just tearing them apart. Some pretty awesome bowling to watch.

More amazingly, Check out WRW Jr. start of the 2nd game... 10 pin in the Gutter, and Ritchie Allens, 278 in the first game, that was a 7-10 spare. I saw the first three games and saw 3 300s, a 7-10 spared and WRW Jr. miss a single pin... How much more could you ask for???

The bowling is amazing. Softer Patterns with soft pins... It's incredible to watch.
