On 30 March 2007, John Coxon on behalf of TBA circulated
an email which was critical of Peter Coburn in
connection with the organisation of the President’s
Shield Dinner Dance at the April 2007 Junior
Championships.
The email was based on information which was available
to TBA at that time. It has since emerged that some of
this information was incomplete and in part inaccurate,
and that the lack of timely communication from the venue
in relation to the function was a significant cause of
the misunderstanding. Mr Coxon and TBA acknowledge that
at all times Mr Coburn was using his best endeavours to
act appropriately and in the best interests of TBA and
its members.
