It would be difficult, but it is possible to catch a train from the domestic terminal right to Mt Druitt, the station is close to the bowl, but I wouldn't want to walk it with bowling gear in tow, but Depending on where you are staying, I'd say there's no reason to take a cab, take the train to the nearest station to your hotel (I'm assuming you're staying in a hotel), and cab it to the hotel.

That being said, Brenton is spot on, Mt Druitt is a long way from the airport... you'd be looking at $120 cab far I'd say, give or take $20 depending on motorway traffic...

Potter...there's the rooty hill rsl....they have accomodation there....but not sure how much it would cost though...and it isn't far from the bowl either.
Off the top of my head i don't know if there is much else around here.
