Best wishes to you all!

Cheers
Drew

P.S - Bowl well Robbie!

Interestingly i had a look at the TBA site and couldn't find any mention of this. Must all still be on holidays

Fantastic result, she averaged 230+ and shot 259 in the last
game to go from 2nd to first

GOLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Massive Congrats. Huge achievement and well deserved Gold. Hopefully not the last of the championships from an Aussie point of view.

Well Done Lexi !!!

From Chris Commane, Accidentally posted on Dad's account.

Congrats to Lexi, a huge effort against a world class field. Keep up the great work and good luck to the other participants who are bowling this week.

PS Watch the Korean girls dominate this championship like they dominated Worlds, they are fembots I'm sure

Hey George

Korea did not dominate the singles event
AUSTRALIA won GOLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geoff it was an outstanding effort by Lexi, you'll get no arguements from me. My point is that the Koreans over the course of the tournament will dominate..... I"ll happy eat my hat if they dont. So far Korean girls,

1 LEXI NICOLL AUS 220 245 207 247 212 259 1390 231.67 0
2 HWANG SUN-OK KOR 208 203 215 257 247 234 1364 227.33 -26
2 SITI SHAZWANI MAS 248 230 256 216 225 189 1364 227.33 -26
4 SON YUN-HEE KOR 212 213 205 235 196 244 1305 217.50 -85
5 JEON EUN-HEE KOR 183 220 227 235 235 197 1297 216.17 -93
6 GYE MIN-YOUNG KOR 190 200 269 202 218 214 1293 215.50 -97

4 from the top 6.... a sign of things to come. Like I said, good luck to the Aussies

Also watch out for this name

CHOI BOK-EUM

A left handed boy wonder is a star in any country he bowls in, he's that good!

Interestingly enough 5 coaches indictated during press conferences that Korea is the benchmark in this event, they are the best in the World and have sent their best team so it will be tough. Singapore has taken in a young team in preparation for the 2014 Asian Games (3+yrs out from the event) which makes our 1 week of preparation miniscule in comparison but hey, we are not fulltime athletes like these kids, nor does TBA have even 5% of the funding Team Singapore receive from their Government.

This makes Lexi's win all the more impressive, well done.
