Belmonte & Gianotti Win South Pacific Classic

Jason Belmonte and Carol Gianotti have taken out their respective divisions this afternoon in the 2004 South Pacific Classic at AMF Moorabbin in Melbourne,Victoria.

Belmonte (NSW) averaged 221.84 on his way to claiming the Mens title by 125 pins from Paul Trotter (VIC) in 2nd and George Frilingos (QLD) in 3rd. Gianotti (WA) averaged 223.48 on her way to winning by 276 pins from Ann-Maree Putney (NSW), with Maxine Nable (NSW) in 3rd.

Belmonte and Putney won the right to represent Australia in the 2004 World Cup in Singapore in December. Womens division winner Carol Gianotti is ineligible due to her Pro Bowler status.
