The National Competition for Defence was held last week at Werribee Bowl in Melbourne. Good bowling and fun was had by all. Many new faces this year, and hopefully more in years to come.
I personally had one of the best tournaments ever after finishing on a 207 avg after 18 games. 6 games single (193), 6 games doubles (229), and 6 games teams (200). Then after 8 games in the masters, I finished on a 213 avg. Still got knocked out after 4 rounds though due to losing the last by 5 pins.
So, well done to all that bowled and congratulations to the top 20 that made the national team. Looking forward to bowling in New Zealand later in the year. As for now, a few of us are off to Arafura in a couple of weeks, so hope to see you there.
