Hi all

Now that averages have been established here is standings after round 1

Here is round 2 - also be sure to bring your TBA numbers with you next week as we need to complete the sanction forms

We are now all to date and everything is checkled and OK
Attached to this email is also a copy of the schedule which you have had before so nothing has changed !

It's strange looking at the standing sheet and there has been no 1,000 series yet - I suppose with Tony Stoppel missing we need to find someone else to set the pace with these
After 3 weeks our highest series is Jason Strawbridge with 923 (another coming out of retirement) must be something in that I suppose ?

Also please note that if you need any subs there are a number of guys listed with their phone numbers in case you need them - and a few pretty decent players on the list too.
Most of these guys are also waiting to get in next season !!!

A few positions moved this week with some very mixed results.
We have a new leader at the top and a person holding up the bottom.
Plus a lefty by the name of Barry has the new top series at 956 which included a nice opening game of 186

Nice 298 game to Keryn last week too - but still no 1,000 series

New high game for the league of 290 last week to Phil Drummond

But still no 1,000 series yet

Maybe I should bowl left handed and make a comeback - might get as good as Geoff Barry who is "still" on top of Keryn.
Shows all those magic potions and lucky charms Geoff must do him some good ?

It's happened after 10 weeks
Keryn Delaney has gone back on top from Geoff Barry and Conor Quail looking a very serious threat to both these guys !

BUT That's not the big news

A ONE THOUSAND SERIES but only just !
My best buddy Dion Alexander bowled a 4th game of 287 to scramble in with a 1001 series for our first $500 payout for the season.

On top of this we had many more good games and series last week.....
Conor Quail 964
Dekland Modra 909
Jason Turai 888
Plus good games also to Graham Simpson , Zac Krebbekx, Michael Weisz, and Matt Bernhardt

Let's keep this going now that everyone has had a week off to recover from this big week..... we want another 1000 this week !!!!

Also Jason Strawbridge is getting back to form with a 901.............. 201, 248, 235, 217

Other goods series and games to Jason Turai, Conor Qual, Chris Mowat, Keryn Delaney, The Modra Boys, and Peter Jones all with series around 850

Well it was pretty amazing night
More 7-10 splits by 26 people than I've seen in years
Believe this from a rough count there were 35 ........ yes 35 7-10's

Plus we have that bonus system where if you are lucky or unlucky enough to loose 3 of your 4 games and still win the series you get a half point bonus
Well that normally happens about once or twice per season

We got 3 of them on one night and the scores were VERY ordinary so I won't go through them individually but the people who got the bonus points were

Peter Jones who was done 3-1 by Tony Long "Tony also got lots of 7-10's so a very special night for Mr Long"
Hamish Modra who was also done 3-1 by Zac Krebbekx
Louise Ingoe who was beaten 3-1 by Keryn Delaney

Louise is a specialist at this bonus and normally gets one per season but this was a good and worth telling the scores
Louise 205, 239, 197, 225,,,,,,,,, for a 866 series
Keryn 216, 192, 222, 234,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,864 series

Other good series were bowled by Dion Alexander and Dekland Modra and that's about all we can talk about
Except the old fella Jason Strawbridge stopped after 2 games with a very sore arm "I know that feeling" ......

Well after the "effort" everyone put in last week with the huge number of 7-10 splits obviously that problem wasn't around this week.......
Rather than tell you I'll just note some of the results

Jason Turai 234,259,225,235 = 953 series
Conor Quail 236,214,247,226 = 923
Zac Krebbekx 179,218,246,249 = 892 series a glimpse of his old form
Plus many more good 800 series also, including Matt Bernhardt 256,215,199,211 = 881 series


Dion Alexander 195,278,231,244 = 948 against Tony Long 226,232,222,266 = 946

Sarah Bernhardt 202,199,187,204 for 792 against Louise Ingoe 177,192,242,221 832 series
not spectacular but Sarah is sitting on a 172 average and trying to improve against some tough competition in the league

Good match between Zac Krebbekx & Keryn Delaney resulting in 2 each. Zac 246-199-246-264 for 955 v Keryn 228-214-290-217 for 949
Another good match was Dekalnd Modra & Matt Bernhardt again 2 each. Dekland 207-289-182-197 for 8 v Matt 258-201-186-194 for 839
Conor Quail is still working his way up the list with a nice 231-201-200-216 = 848 and 3 wins over Frosty

Well last week didn't see too many big scores and looked like everyone had to work pretty hard for a win

Close game by Dion Alexander and Michael Weisz
saw Dion win 3-1 but Michael got a half point bonus by winning the series 869-862

Dekland Modra took the first game of Keryn Delaney 245-213 but that's where is stopped with Keryn winning 3-1 861-845

Every youthful Tony Long had the biggest series on the night with 942 against 831 by Ashley Warren who was subbing for Phil Drummond

Hamish Modra also had a nice 870 series for a 3-1 win against Sarah Bernhardt
