A quite astounding day beginning with some of the 'bling' the bowlers were wearing. Broni and Jagga set the tone with matching outfits which included hats, beards etc.etc ...... Dawn Heathwood came directly from the Wizard of Oz in Chrissy gear but Matt Que was far and away the star of the day ...... red satin boxers under red satin SKIRT, white top with red vest, long flowing white hair with Santa cowboy hat, earring etc.etc. AND black fishnet stockings !!!! A sight to behold...hopefully photo will follow !!!
The winning team name was REINDEER WRANGLERS featuring Nick Cregan and Jason Clark and they certainly matched their name. Some most innovative ideas for team names and hard for the Team to choose.
Animal won the Bundy donated by Vic Wilkins (lucky draw) and Sean Vettiger won the Bundy raffle with Roz Yendle taking the 2nd place wine.
NOW: Congrats. to the winners and well deserved too .... MISSILE TOE combining Tony Hamilton and Bowler of the Year, Katie Kroehnert who finshed 4 pins ahead of Reindeer Wranglers with Evil Elves (Tamara Harmsworth and Micheal Matthey) in third place only 4 pins behind 2nd place. The Hoe Hoe Hoe boys from Toowoomba, Sean Vettiger and Cory Knowles (on minus 7 handicap) finished 2 pins further back in 4th - great effort.
Vic Wilkins with 233.7 handicap ave. took out the Handicap winner Bowling Pin with Animal Hill (234.5) was the scratch pin winner.
Darryl Alford bowled a 300 and received cash from sponsor Vic Wilkins. Well done, Darryl.
Again this year, a most successful and fun day, plenty of goodies donated by Peter and Ann Lingard, Gladys White and of course the sponsors. Congratulations to the bowlers who enter into the spirit of our game with such obvious enjoyment and the Twin Tour Silly Season Doubles also now have their own reindeer team for 2009 .... thanks to Denish Baker! For reindeer names you will need to contact Flower as some names are too naughty for this 'couth' forum !!!!
