Plastic Ball Event

Hey everybody,

We are looking at making our MacArthur stop a Plastic Ball event. We are giving everyone plenty of notice so that everyone has time to obtain a plastic ball if they want to compete and don't have one, or has a plastic ball which may not be within specifications.

Obviously, we aren't going to overly strict on what plastics are and are not allowed. We will allow plastics from all the major companies that don't come with a dynamic weight block. For example, the Columbia White Dots, Ebonite Maxims, Storm Ices.
Balls that will definitely not be allowed will be any with a dynamic core, the Lane #1 XXXL is an example of such a ball.

Glen Rowland from Ebonite will be at our next two events before the MacArthur stop so if anyone is needing to get a plastic before the event, Glen will be more then happy to help out, with the Columbia 300 and Ebonite range of Maxims and White Dots available, there is a ball for everyone.

The Pattern will also be a lower volume pattern similar to those used by the PBA in such events.

Each bowler will only be allowed ONE plastic ball and as per TBA rules and Regulations ball surface can only be adjusted at the beginning of each block.

We won't start taking entries until we get up to this event in our calendar, but we thought we would allow everyone to be aware of our plans to do this, and to give everyone plenty of time to get themselves a suitable plastic.

If anyone has ideas or wants clarification on balls that will be allowed then post here and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Thanks,
John and Stephen
