Level one Coaching Courses

The Level 1 course is now approved with the ASC and can be rolled out across the Country however the only person who can run the course content yet is Chris Batson as he wrote them. As i understand it Level 1 couses will not be run until January next year. Chris will need to run through the course with some prospective trainers first so they can run the courses.
Therefore at this stage i do not see the course being approved to run by the TBA until that is completed

Heres an email Gillian sent me during the week in response to some questions i asked.

The Level 1 and Level 2 Courses have been totally rebuilt which has taken considerable time, however I am confident that once the new course actually gets to the market that candidates will be very pleased with the results of the overhaul. In summary the new course will now enable candidates to complete all of the theory in their own home and then once they have completed and been examined will attend a practical training and assessment day within their State with Chris Batson in attendance.

The sport will also be providing subsidies for interested parties through our Registered Centre network.

The current status of the courses is that the Level 1 has been accredited with the ASC and the Level 2 is in the process of being reaccredited. I am going to Brisbane to finalise the details about the release of the Level 1 and if you stay tuned to our website later in the week you will be able to access all of the latest information. I also understand that Vic Tenpin are going to hold an information session which I hope to attend later in the year.

The first Level 1 coaching course was run in QLD the week before Xmas
The First Level 1 course for NSW will be run in Sydney Early 2010

These courses will be differnt in that just because you do the course does not mean you will be a Level 1 coach, You actually have to pass !!!!!!!

Without sounding rude I'm wondering what your involvement is?

Thanks Geoff
Without sounding rude I'm wondering what your involvement is?

Hi Nev

That is not considered Rude

I have several levels of interst and involvement

1. I am and have been involved, in part, with the development
of the new coaching courses with Chris Batson

2. I will be involved in presenting the Coaching courses in NSW

3. Recently I was appointed to the board of NSW TBA as coaching director

Further to the above i am keen to get stuff happening with the TBA to move away from the same old same old nothing being done
Change is a huge requirement if we are to move forward and
i am keen to get involved wherever i can

Hope that makes a bit of sense

Cheers
Geoff

The cost will be $250 per person

The date set down for the face to face assessment day is
