2003 President Shield Trial Entry Forms

An electronic version of this form will be donwloadable from the VTBA Web Page shortly.

East Coast Challenge
We wish all those representing Victoria in the East Coast Challenge at AMF Cannon Hills, Queensland, good luck and high scoring. We look forward to celebrating another Victoria win.

2002 South Pacific Classic
Congratulations to Paul Trotter in his lead-all-the-win in this year's South Pacific Classic.

Paul will now travel to Riga, Latvia, to compete in the 2002 AMF World Cup from 19th October through 26th October, 2002.

Unfortunately, for our Rachuig team this tournament clashes with the Adult Nationals in Bankstown. Understandably, Paul has withdrawn from Rachuig for this year. His replacement will be Rod Stewart.

2003 Youth Team
Selection trials for the 2003 Youth Team were held in conjunction with the Scratch Records Under 23 Melbourne Tenpin Cup.
Congratulations to the following bowlers who have qualified for this team:

Boys:
Matthew O’Brien
Brendan Hanton
John Clemmett
Joel Lovegrove

Girls:
Natalie Shelley
Kelly Jones
Kylie Jeffries
Sarah-Jayne Arnold

Joe Tomasinski (Coach)

Peter Coburn (Boys Manager)
Sue Jones (Girls Manager)

Scratch Records Under 23 Melbourne Tenpin Cup
Our congratulations to Anthony Morrell in his came from behind in the last game of matchplay to with the inaugural Scratch Records Under 23 Melbourne Tenpin Cup.

Looks like that if you want to win the Melbourne Tenpin Cup then you need to bowl with two hands. Australia's other well-known two-handed bowler, Jason Belmonte, won the Adult Melbourne Tenpin Cup back in June 2002.

Victorian Tenpin Bowling Association Inc. Annual General Meeting
The inaugural AGM for the new state association will be held on November 30, 2000 at Werribee Superbowl.

Nomination forms have been made available over the past month and receipt of these should arrive at the office no later than midnight on September 30, 2002.

Our first Annual Report will then be prepared and despatched to all those that have indicated attendance or interest. This will arrive within the next couple of weeks.

Graham,

One to you. I bowled Koolfoam that year so I missed your coverage.

We have to cover three game blocks and two games at once (male and female), same concept, different format
