Unusual League Matter. Advice needed

Andrew S.

Gold Coast
With 3 weeks of season to go, a League committee decides to withold the standing sheet. The Centre complies with the request and does not post the standings. Committee says a majority of members agreed, however privately, some members are not happy. There is nothing in the constitution about this. Is the committee acting correctly?

Hmmm...I smell something and it isn't a pleasant odour.

As a member of the league, you have the right to see a standings sheet at any time!

I think that you will find that T.B.A.L rules state that to change anything in the Constitution of a league you have to get 100% agreement from the bowlers and not a majority. If it was not in your constitution then they probably can't do it because it was not voted on and agreed to by the league. Ask them their reasons behind their actions, it may only be to keep the teams on their toes so no one knows who is winning, there may be nothing sinister in their actions.
