Team selection

Sonic

Roto-Grip Rules
I have some questions on team selection.

* Is there a standard way for teams to be selected, or is it up to the respective association as to which method is appropriate?
* Secondly, assuming that teams are selected by vote, what conditions need to be met for a valid selection process?
* Thirdly, is it legal to knock back nominations because the nominee has never bowled in the team previously (assuming of course other criteria have been met)?

Now, before the replies start coming through, this is not directed at a particular team or association, but simply a request for information.

Thanks

Sonic your question is really too general. Different events have different qualifying criteria. Some events leave it entirely to the Local body to select their Team placing no restrictions on that Local body, other events set down a selection procedure that Local Bodies must follow.
National, State, Regional and Centre based Associations may all have different requirements for selection for any given team.
You really need to ask the relevant body directly.

Also, the rules for the selection process used to be on the TBA website. Certainly there are some general prescriptions in the event rules for Rachuig and PJIS
