NSW Junior Youth Championships

A reminder that the NSW Junior Youth Championships are on Sat 20th & Sun 21st, Sat 27th & Sun 28th February at Gosford Bowl. All bowlers wishing to roll off for their state teams (junior shield and youth) need to participate at the state championships.

The are several events included and we are looking for more Intercentre Teams for the Challenge on Saturday 20th at 5.00pm - dress up and have some fun, prizes and awards as well as some cash prizes for the best dressed team and individual (info attached).

The NSW U23 Cup is a new inclusion for all junior and youth bowlers - check out flyer

You are a youth bowler and the event, NSW U23 Cup does not require an average for entry.

Great first weekend with many good scores: they included Bumper Challenge (Matt, Chloe and Cameron pictured), Intercentre Challenge, Graded Masters, U23 Cup Final as well as championship results. Congratulations to the winners of the 'Jack & Jill' Roll off: Harrison Mears (Warners Bay) and Tegan Ihnativ (Fairfield) - thankyou Interbowl Australia and Kevin Webb for sponsoring and organising the two reactive ball prizes.

This Saturday 27th we have squads throughout the day and the Challenge Shield between ACT, NNSW and SNSW Shield Teams from 4.30 - a taster for the National event. Sunday 28th finishes the tournament with the Classic Cup and Open Masters.

The NSW Junior Youth Awards will be presented straight after the Challenge Shield from 7.00 - 7.30. Last weekend we acknowledged the NSW Junior Youth bowlers who have achieved international level - Lexi Nicoll and Kevin McRae (Sarah) who received some financial assistance.

The NNSW Team are fundraising over the Championships, to support Breast Cancer Awareness, and the Boy's Captain - Simon Pearce - gave a special presentation on behalf of the Team.
