let me just add Holt and ATBSO carnivals mid to late August and peoples ability to afford to attend these and the TBA Nationals. not to mention people having sufficient leave from work to do so. too many organizations and too much on for everyone to attend everything. not to mention these events rotating around the country each year providing a different place every year (2014 Hobart, 2015 Darwin)

RobbieB you need to go to www.tenpinresults.com.au for the 2014 junior nationals results.

there has been no development plan put in place at a national level to introduce juniors to our sport to replenish the 40+ bowlers that have aged out every year from shield since 2010. no wonder numbers are in decline.

Ok, that works but the link from the TBA website didn't.
No change for 2014 though, not one single lower grade bowler was more than 25 under average and most bowled over entering average.
Perhaps they are being brainwashed by the complaining from some of the higher grade bowlers whose averages don't truly reflect their ability?

TBA should split off the Restricted and Seniors from the Open Nats and run them earlier in the year around March-May. Allows time for the bowlers to do both Holt/ATBSO and Nats or Open Nats, centres have a two week and one week event to tender for and allows totally different patterns to be laid for each client group.

Robbie, think you'll find all TBA results are going to run through that website from now on.

"complaining higher grade bowlers whose averages don't truly reflect their ability" - now there's a can of worms and a big reason why entries in many events arent as high as they could / should be.

total agree re the split and can totally avoid school holidays as well, though juniors probably should stay as is.
