Firstly a Big thank you to all those bowlers that participated in the 2nd event of the TAS Grand Prix Series. 28 in Total. A little down on projected entries but pretty good, just the same.

A pretty tough lane pattern was used (FLAT Gutter to Gutter, 60 units to 16 ft, 30 units to 32 ft, No Buff) which resulted in no-one AVE the card. Garry Crick was the closest on -7. Garry also won the most $$$ wining $275. He is declared the overall winner of the Event. Garry seems to like the HARDER patterns as he has WON the 1st 2 Events on Pretty Touh Patterns. Well Done Wiseman!
Also Well done to Simon Gourlay for particpating in his first Event in around 10 years and finishing a credible 2nd with -95 and cashing in with $265.50. Might be time to Update that CRUSH/R I Think Simon!! LOL

Also a very Big thankyou to Warren Stewart, AMF Southern Region Manager, for his generous support of the not only this event, but the Moonah Classic aswell. It was muchly appreciated. Thanks Again.

Thanks to the Staff at Lonny Lanes for their support throughout the event (As always). It always helps having competent people to support me which allows me to particiapte. Thanks again.

The next event on the TAS GP Circuit is on AUGUST 10th. The Venue and Format for this Event are still to be finalised, but when it is, it will be Posted.

Attached is the Complete results Set and Below is a Summary of the Event.

Double Skins

Thanks Gus and AMF for another well run tournament 8)

Yes, conditions were tough. But bowling on a tough condition is the best way to find out were your game is and i am sure all the juniors that bowled will benefit a great deal for the experience.

And with over half the field cashing, you have got to be happy about that.

Also, a great effort by Simon Gourlay to bowl in his first major tournament for many years and perform so well. He will be a great addition to the Rachuig side this year with all his enthusiasm, positive attitude & obvious bowling ability.

that was funny gus giving the wiseman choad

yes my freinds, great weekend all round and i like those conditions cause it made you use your head and ability and stamina to get through that many games and i am very proud of all the southern bowlers 4 the way they conducted thierselfs on the lanes and it payed off in more ways than one$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ,still would be interesting to have a north v south tournie at some stage, well the challenge is there . Thanks to hayden 4 all his hard work and his wifes cooking and we from down here are looking forward to the next event in anticipation, did i spell that right,oh well . 4 an extra note the SCOBIE CHOAD AWARD would have to go to terry 4 his enthusiasum and charisma during the tournament.

Huge thanks must go to Gus for the organising of the tournament. Also to Julie and Buzz at Launceston Lanes for the running of the tournament on the day. Top notch guys. Also to AMF, thankyou for the support of the last 2 tournaments. Was great to bowl for some decent cash down here for a change.

The conditions were... interesting to say the least. But it's always good to test people out, which this condition surely did.

Congrats to The Wiseman on taking home a nice chunk of cash, and also to Simon, who hadn't set foot in Launceston for 12+ years. Get him a decent ball, and he'll be scary

Also thanks to my partners on the day for putting up with my crap ;) I had fun :D

I just want to re inforce what has already been said, well done gus for a fantastic tournement and condition, it certainly did teach me alot and made me use my head . thank you to the amf lonnie staff for their help and also to warren stewart for his donation too to our tournies. thanks to all that bowled and all the people i bowled with, my appoligies for my dummy spits lol
