Junior Nationals 2008 & Blue Cards

Coaches, Managers, Guardians and anyone who accompanies any Junior Bowler in any official capacity to the Junior Nationals next year, will require a Queensland Blue Card.

This applies to all officials from all States not just Queensland based officials.

Thanks for the warning. On my reading of the application form it is only required if the officials are not a parent of one of the children attending (parents are exempt for sporting activities in which their children are taking part) Please confirm.

Thats difficult to answer. In theory you are correct and if you have a child involved it does appear you dont need one.

However the Blue Card requirements do change frequently and consequently we have advised everyone here in Qld to apply for a card regardless.

At least you will be taking a safe option and there is no charge for volunteers.
