To further make the celebrations more enjoyable for Harristown, Hayley Donnelly bowled the first ever 300 in the Interschool Challenge in the 10th game of the competition on Lanes 3 & 4 at Hyperbowl Chermside. Haley’s calm appearance turned into great emotion when the 12th strike was bowled. The excitement was not only shared by her teammates but also all the other 40 bowlers who showed great camaraderie during the competition. To complement this great individual effort Harristown SHS also bowled a team game of 1035 to better their old mark set in 2002 of 1024.

To cap the day off the 2 National Junior Masters Champions from Queensland, Bianca Flanagan and Ben Coupland gave a bowler demonstration and an opportunity for the children to learn more about the sport through a question and answer segment. This was a huge success as evidenced by the 20 minute autograph session after the presentation ceremony. Bianca and Ben did a great job and TBAQ are still receiving positive feedback about their manner and wonderful attitude towards the stars of tomorrow. THANK-YOU Bianca and Ben.

TBAQ would like to thank all the sponsors who made the Interschool Challenge 2003 a great success and look forward to a bigger event in 2004.

The results, individual scores, and total pinfall records can be found on the TBAQ website www.tbaq.org.au in the upcoming days.

Particular thanks to the inmates of the office at Sports House,
Jason Kelly and Gail.
Without a huge amount of work from these people, this event would not have gotten off the ground.
Also to Chermside Bowl a huge thank you for your generous involvement.
Jason Kelly and Gail once again gave up a large percentage of their personal time to organise this event, and that success indicates that our Sport in Qld is in pretty good shape.
