The TBAQ 2006 Interschool Challenge State Finals took place over the weekend at Logan City Lanes & AMF Mt Gravatt Lanes. 10 teams lined up over the weekend to compete against each other for school glory. Each team won their respective Regional Qualifying Round to participate in the Finals.
The competition was close throughout the 2 days with positions not finalised until the last match on Sunday.
Final results were
1. Windaroo Valley SHS 96.5 points (3rd year running)
2. Bundaberg SHS 88.5 points
3. Harristown SHS 87.5 points
4. Pine Rivers SHS 83 points
5. Trinity Bay SHS 77.5 points
6. Morayfield SHS 75.5 points
7. Kirwan SHS 66.5 points
8. Park Ridge SHS 66 points
9. Kingston College 58 points
10. North Rockhampton SHS 51 points
Windaroo Valley SHS consisted of: (Becky Manderson, Rochelle Mottlee, Nick Tinworth, Phillip Cairn, Aaron Blair & Carmen Stammers).
An All Star Team was announced, made up of the top 5 averages from the qualifying round and the finals, CONGRATULATIONS to these 5 bowlers.

2. Sean Vettiger (Harristown SHS) 206.7
3. Adam Willersdorf (Harristown SHS) 200.8
4. Rochelle Mottlee (Windaroo Valley SHS) 192.9
5. Taylor Roberts (Kirwan SHS) 182.2
TBAQ conducted a Sportsperson award (voted by the bowlers) for the State Finals and the awards were kindly donated by Tenpin Bowling Australia Ltd. There were 2 categories, Girls winner Yvette Renton (North Rockhampton SHS) and Boys winner Adam Beynon (Bundaberg SHS). TBAQ’s encouragement award was awarded to Tori Brand from Pine Rivers SHS, Tori received a new bowling ball from AMF.

Well done to everyone who bowled. I was there almost the entire weekend and it was a pleasure to watch. Although I really only followed Trinity Bay, you guys did really well.
