Goldpin Seniors Cup

Well the "oldies" tournament has been and gone with practically no fanfare.

Results are attached for those that are interested. This was the third year of this mixed teams event for the over 50's and Mentone won for the second year running.

Also, a big thank you to the staff at Oz Tenpin Ballarat on a really well run tournament.

What a great bunch of people us "oldies" are, it's really a pleasure to bowl in this event. Great attitudes and no swearing.

To my team mates from Mentone, well done. Two years in a row, can we make it THREE?? GO MENTONE!

Unfortunetly not all seniors could participate. On the same weekend there was the QLD seniors classic and another seniors event on the sunday at Dandenong. Congrats to the winners and keep it up!

Although there was a Seniors event at Dandenong on Sunday, there were quite a number at Ballarat who would have normally bowled in the ATBSOV at Dandenong. Five members of the Mentone team are regular ATBSOV bowlers.

I suppose its not that not all seniors "could not" participate, the choice was theirs and those to bowl elsewhere.

Hopefully next and subsequent years, will not clash with other seniors events.
