JUNE 6, 2006 UPDATE:
We are being asked if bowlers can change their squads time and day, the answer is yes, squad time and day changes are allowed for like squads. Retuning bowlers and Texas / Palace patrons still receive 1 extra Free Chance squad as a bonus, please pick it when you send your entry in.

The next early entry deadline is June 15. Bowlers who miss the deadline will still find lots of value in the July 2006 Amateur challenge. Walk-ins will be welcome at the event. All entrants will receive Free THE BIG ONE high performance bowling ball by Ebonite, and the new SMASH TIME ball for the Ebonite Challenge finalists, and receive a min. 1 Free Chance squad and 1 Qualifying entry into the $30,000 Ebonite Challenge. TAT Amateur Challenge offers 8 prize funds for a single entry fee.

Bowlers are reminded of the new RNF DIVISION if you bowled before and didn't make the finals you qualify for this division (see brochure) bowlers in this division will only compete against other bowlers who didn't make the finals. Bowlers will have 2 ways to qualify for the finals. (this division only) bowlers can still win the bonus Division byes in the new division.

HELPFUL HINTS: We recommend that bowlers use the Ebonite Demo days to find the right ball reaction, they will be operating the first 7 days of the tournament and we will have the tournament condition on those lanes. There are only 2 days we will be re-oiling mid day Tuesday and Friday after the 2:00 squad, the late afternoon/evening squads are usually higher scoring .

This will give True Amateur bowlers the opportunity to see a serious return on their small investment and receive a high performance bowling ball as a bonus. TAT uses multiple prize funds with over 500 ways to cash with real cut numbers (5 daily and 4 multiple squad cuts 30% more bowlers get to the finals with a paycheck) which gives you a better chance of cashing than in any other Mega-Buck tournament. Tat has no fictitious single squad cuts.

Limited to Amateur bowlers only ( No Pro's or PBA ) who have not won $10,000 or more in a single scratch event for the past seven years, (No Professionals) the TAT Amateur Challenge allows bowlers to qualify in 31 qualifying squads over an eight day period. The 5 separate Divisions are determined by age and average. For the first time a 205 and under bowler will earn a Guaranteed spot in the Top Five to compete for the $45,000 in the 5 Top prizes.


The Ebonite Challenge Finals entry is filling fast, with limited entries available. Bowlers should send this in with their original entry.

Bowlers can now earn their way to the Ebonite Challenge finals by recruiting 3 new bowlers and get a Free second ball along with another Free Chance squad. Where else can you bowl for a $5,000 top prize, ( Top 5 $1,000 Each ) earn a ball for a $10 Qualifying fee, or buy in for $160 that includes a second ball. Qualifiers receive a full $160 refund. The February event was nearly sold out with over 6,000 entries. Over $650,000 was dispersed. All prize funds are guaranteed minimums, with extra money added as more bowlers enter. In addition to the Amateur Challenge, there are also two Chance Tournaments and a special $30,000 Ebonite Challenge Tournament, as well as Demo Days where experts from the Ebonite staff will be available to offer help and answer questions. TAT also offers 3 separate multiple entries with real value, which come with a Free $90 sweeper that has a 1 in 6 cash ratio. All entries have multiple ways to cash.
