Cost of setting up / opening a new bowling alley

Can anyone give me some idea fo the cost involved, or where to find this info.

Your best bet would be to contact AMF Products in America... but a rough estimate of the cost would probably land you at about $100,000 x amount of lanes you'll have.

It would be easier to buy one instead :)

Or snap up lanes cheap when someone closes  The land seems to be more of a problem than the equipment itself.

Best place to contact is dependant on what you want to put in your centre. There are a number of places to contact. If you are genuinely interested please email me and ill put you in touch with the right people.

Oh and Daniel - AMF have a contact here in Australia for this (you of all people should know that :))

G, (G for "Oh great one" :p)

The Australian dollar is so high, it would probably be cheaper for him to buy them from AMF in America and have them freighted :)

most of the amf centres were listed for "sale and leaseback" ... meaning that they're not actually selling off the centre, just the land and building and then renting it

They own the business, all of their inventory and a contract to lease the building. It's no different to a supermarket inside a shopping centre.
