How abuot those Raiders .. keen to take them at $34 to win the Minor Premiership ?? Considering they are playing 2nd and 1st the next two weeks all the need is two wins and a miracle it could be worth a shot. 13/1 to win the Grand Final is also a good bet.

hahha it might be ariel ping pong but they will get a bigger crowd!! haha or didnt u see the footy last saturday night?? was it like a record crowd or something like that?? even if i didnt like footy i would be going to it just for the atmosphere!!
as for rugby, not taking ne thing away from the sport but lets face it, at least in ariel ping pong when they get hit they get hit lol....they dont get up but in rugby now thats a different story hey lol......
i just think its funny when a guy jumps on another guys head, marks the ball and then drills his head into the ground from 10 foot in the air hahahaha!!!
i mean u dont get suspended for giving off a high takle last time i checked hahaha....

Hmm but at least in league they don't have fights by jumping on people's heads :roll: and maybe they get back up in league coz it's tougher?? just a thought

lol they might get back up in league but they dont get hit as hard....i mean there is nothing as bad as being hit from someone u didnt even know was there....ur always expecting it in rugby....and as for fighting on heads wouldnt that be a sight to see lol.....

As for getting hit in either sport....having played both...i can honestly say that being hit in a 3 man tackle in league, leaves more bruises than a bump from Aussie... :wink:

I hope that all that are posting on here bagging rugby have played it and not just at club level. I'm talking about sub-district or higher when your really playing. When at the end of a season you've been knocked out, had stiches to most parts of your body and had more then a couple of broken bones, ( that's why we don't get straight back up.) Most the time we get hurt we play on because you can't interchange like the others. Once your off thats it no return only for blood.
By the way this year which was my last after 20 years of playing I only got 5 stiches, knocked out once and had 3 broken ribs and a 2 fractured fingures (pretty good year)

Well as for me, I can't play anymore because I got spear tackled. Ended up with a small fracture in one of my vertabrae in my neck (C4 vertabra i think it was). The joys of football.
Never got knocked out playin footy, but I got knocked out playin cricket last season playing for Valley's....quite interesting actually I was hit in the high part of the left temple...the hospital ppl told me after the CT-Scans that it nearly killed me, probably another 5 millimetres lower. The joys of cricket.
Back to the footy, i wanna see brissy play the pies in the final again, just so we can relive the joy of smashing them, again.

Must say that the game between the bombers and the pies will be a good match indeed. Still think the bombers are in good form and think will get over the pies by a big margin.
Its a shame those mighty hawks arent in the final but ey... im not complaining... So yeah... Bombers to kick the pies butts!!
As for Rugby... dont follow it that much coz where i live they have it on real late at night... every now and then i might catch a game or too... but if i was to follow anyone... it would be the Vic state team... melbourne storm!!! they arent doin to bad are they? are they like 6th or somthin???? anyways... wouldnt mind seeing the raiders and the storm in the finals... thats my theory.

In my mind, Essendon are OVERRATED!!
Tonight we will see if Collingwood will get anywhere this season.... A Essendon win will guarantee a interstate team premeirship, whilst a big Collingwood won't hurt there chances...(however they shouldn't take much out of it.. its only Essendon!)

R17, beat Melbourne 88 v 71 (Melbourne 3rd last)
R18, beat Carlton 90 v 56 (Carlton 2nd last)
R19, beat Bulldongs 147 v 80 (Bulldogs are last)
R20, beat Richmond 92 v 53 (Richmond 5th last)
R21, beat Fremantle 133 v 73 (Fremantle 8th)
There is not alot to get excited about there.. They have beated 4 teams who don't know how to win, and often get beaten by more then what Essendon beat them by, as for Fremantle.. Everyone knows Fremantle can't win in Melbourne... (there only wins in Melbourne have been against teams down the bottom of the ladder)....
Oh well... the stage is set... The trully in-form COLLINGWOOD vs the "in-form" :? ESSENDON......
