It would be great for bowling in Tasmania if it did happen. I, for one, was sick of having to resurface my gear after every tournament there.

Now if only we could get a real Kegel at Moonah, we'd be ready to step into the year 2000. I might even be prepared to start bowling seriously again.

Rumour confirmed Droo.

They are being installed now. I didn't think I would live to see the day personally, but called in last night and witnessed it for myself - lanes 1 through to 4 were being ripped up while I was there.

Am now considering whether to call an end to my self imposed "break" myself... synthetics being installed at Lonny and not being at Rachuig for the first time in longer than I'd like to say is a bit too much for me I think. Hahaha. So maybe I'll see you at the first tournie up here next year?!

hmmmm ..... nup, still retired at this stage!!!

never say never, but after 2 years almost to the day since i threw a shot, let alone a game, cant say that im missing the game or the expense too much. its only at this time of year (rachuig) that it gets a thought really.

although there is some temptation to try out the new lanes once finished ..... but with select club still on a friday night, and that being about the only league to bowl in in lonny - id say that leaves me at basically zero chance of a return.

its defiantely good for lonny bolwers, and tassie bowling in general though.

KC - I dont think I need to confirm your statement ....... but for those who are unsure ..... your absolutely, totally and unconditionally spot on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last few years of Friday nights free to drink, socialise, watch the footy etc has been a welcome change from turning up to Select Club week in, week out ...... definately not something Im looking to trade back in. Change Select Club to another night..... and I am somewhere better than 0% chance of a return! lol

I agree with you there Scott, don't worry... I've had the discussion with quite a few people in the past that Select should change nights. If only there were more like us that had their priorities in the right place...
