Agressive BFCC

The basis of this game in my opinion is to be able hit what you are aiming for and be able to repeat shots, not throw the ball harder down the lane.As the name of the game suggests it is called tenpin BOWLING not tenpin THROWING.No i am not sying your opinion is wrong ,it just seems that this way of thinking has been lost to a lot of people especially most of the juniors coming through(no not all just most),wether or not this is being taught to the juniors is up to is up to them if they want to throw the ball and have a shortened shelf life in this game then by all means go for it,but if they want to be bowling later in life maybe they need to be taught how to BOWL.
Till next time

sometimes I wish I bowled like a girl - that girl being Cara, even if she does bowl with the wrong hand

wake up Australia.......major youth tournaments aren't on every weekend, support those who put the effort in in this sport, Dr Kee and his crew deserve your support.

One more thing, in my travels both in the US and Europe, no one and that is dead set, no one complains about the format of the tournament, even if to me it looks a little silly to me, THEY JUST BOWL and try their best, respecting the chance to play in a tournament, win money and/or respect.

This complaining crap is very Australian and typifies how small we really are in this worldwide game, lets grow up and play bowling and try to be the best in the world.

i thought that was an excellent reply from frawls...

i doubt you'll find much better than that one in a while

Frawls this is a FORUM (discussion panel). I agree some people complain toooo much but if you don't say anything at all nothing will be done about it and this is maybe for some people the only way they can get there point across.

Dear Tryhard,
Technical hitch, I didn't mean that they throw the ball[maybe I should have said "bowl the ball"], the point was that whether they use a hook shot or any other shot males have a distinct advantage because of their muscle density. That being said I still believe that with or without a 7 pin start some of our girls will be showing the men a thing or 2. I know my daughter Sally will be there to try her hardest.

See you soon,

Josie,
point taken about the forum, problem
sometimes is that negativity gets it head to far in front of the good stuff.
We have the foundations of a very healthy sport in this nation, our juniors have caught up and many are as good as bowlers of the same age in the US and Europe and Asia.
I'm the first to say we should be communicating more but for formats there never will be a perfect one, same as lane conditions, never has been and never wil be a perfect lane condition.

As my first coach taught me (Dr Kee 20 years ago) 'complaining is contagious'. I add to that 'Play the game, play it hard' and we will be the best.

Just a thought how can you compare the likes of Jayde Flanagan to the likes of Jason walsh you cant and they are youth bowlers , the seven pins is a great idea but i personaly dont think it will work i allready know of about 5 to 10 girls that wont bowl cause they wont have a chance and these are some of our best junior girls and youth girls , but the format is what it is ,i will be there theres no doubt about it seven pins or no pins for the girls , but im sure Doc Kee is expirenced enough to know what he is doing and if it doesnt work im sure he will try another approach , so instead of complaining just wait and see what happens this year and then you can voice your opinions on why it worked or why it went wrong.
