Looks like a good tournament why you had to clash with the wide bay in Gladstone I don't know, other wise I'm sure you would have a few more teams. Good luck but the wide bay comes first for me.

I went to Melbourne earlier this year for the marathon at Dandenong and had a ball. It's test of mental and physical stamina, rolling 20 or 30 games (depending on the number of players in your team) head to head against your opponents. This is going to be great, so if your up for the challenge get your team together and get your deposit in to secure your spot, you wont regret it.

Looking forward to the challenge of this tournie - good payout for the price - money per game for high scratch game - high average for tournie takes home an AMF or GLOBAL ball - cafe open all night for that late night coffee/tea fix

Why not have a go?? Even got teams travelling interstate!!!

Wow, what a tournament!

Ran for about 16 hours and I think we all held up pretty well - 99% of the bowlers stayed after completion for the presentation. As painful as it was to drive home with the sun coming up over the horizon, the night was a success and absolutely everyone enjoyed themselves.

The juniors kicked butt, and even after the calouses and blisters started to appear on our hands, the big games just kept flowing non-stop! Check out www.aspley10pinbowl.com.au for all the results.

A HUGE thankyou to all involved over the weekend - ABC Printing for their generosity and inspiring words in the Bowlers Briefing. Cooper (the hair to the business throne) soldiered on, working non-stop, running backwards and forwards collecting the scorecards, giving every bowler high-5's as he passed through.

Tonx, for keeping us all up to date with the latest and greatest bowling equipment shipped up from over the border. He was approachable through the whole tournament, giving tips and hints to any bowler that needed advice.

Paul Eustace, for his generosity and that heard-from-a-mile-away-laugh, easily inspiring the bowlers to keep their heads up and persist with their efforts! (By the way, Ira - YOU'RE AN ENERGIZER BUNNY...DO YOU EVER STOP?!?! :p)

CHRISTINE, who put all her effort in to the tournament, leaving no leaf unturned to ensure things went smoothly, and my oath did things run well! Thanks again for all the extra effort you put in with the goody bags, etc.

Debbie, Bruce, Cassie, Shari and Kirsty, for overseeing the the weekend, perched high up above the lanes, keeping an eye on the proceedings. If only you guys (the bowlers) could see the spreadsheets Bruce created from scratch for the scoring. He's always full of surprises! Thanks Bruce, your hours spent outside of work have paid off.

Shiralee, Tahlia, Sarah and Rebecah for running "the best little cafe in town", and almost selling out of those crazy new V Shots!

And finally, "The Back-End Boys" - Brian, James, Bill and Steve. For equipment thats 18 years old, they held up pretty damn well!

Can't wait we get to do it all again next year, hopefully with a full field. See ya all then!

Yes it was a great weekend and we second everything that Bob the Bowler said, everyone did a fantastic job and all participants appeared to have a great time.

Ira would especially like to thank Tonx from Absolute Bowling Supplies for his generous gift to him, passing on the ball that he had won. It was greatly appreciated, as was the words of encouragement. Also thanks to Janette Baker for her coaching session on Friday afternoon and encouragement during the tournament.

Thanks to all, officials & participants for their great sportspersonship, made it one of the best tournaments that we have participated in.

Looking forward to next year, bigger & better.
