Having a little play online, I found some wonderful return airfare prices for the majority of the states to Nagoya for November, flying with Singapore Airlines.
Once at Nagoya, it is then a 45 min transfer via train to Suzuka.

Brisbane - Nagoya $1362.94pp inc all taxes etc
Sydney - Nagoya $1376.64pp
Melbourne - Nagoya $1359.46
Adelaide - Nagoya $1377.83
Perth - Nagoya $1663.59

surprisingly, the dearest fare was from the closest Australian port to Asia -
Darwin - Nagoya $2542.69

The website was onlinetravel.com.au.

Not that these prices are any good to anyone right now, but if you had planned to travel to Suzuka as a spectator for the Seniors event these appear to be the right prices, so now's the time to get in quick!;)

It would be really nice to see some sort of announcement regarding selection for the seniors teams, or at least an update on progress.
I think it would be fair to say that the seniors know they will be self funded again, and most of us "have our lives on hold" waiting to see how many teams are going to be travelling, and whether we can afford any other sort of expenditure in the meantime.
There are all sorts of trials and roll-offs going on over the next couple of months for state representation at all levels, we really need to know if we dare spend our kids inheritance on these other events, or whether we should be saving our dollars for the one big trip.
Can somebody shed some light on the situation, and can we please have factual information from TBA, not Chinese whispers (or Japanese whispers in this case)?

HI Josie - Havent you heard of the SKI club??? All senior bowlers who travel round Aussie are member
SKI club stands for ---- Spending Kids Inheritence :p :p

 Can anyone shed some light on what is going on??
Most of us have a life and are still working so we can go on these self funded trips.
 We need some info so we can arrange time off, book airfares and accommodation etc.

2 senior bowler have already got their holidays booked incase i goes ahead.
Seems as if it takes them that long to figure things out that it will be time to head off to japan.
As yet they have heard nothing, except that they were waiting on formats from Japan to make up teams.

from TBA website this morning:
