3.00pm Top 12 Boys and Top 8 Girls bowl a further 6 games
5.30pm Top 5 Boys & Top 5 Girls Bowl Top 5 Stepladder Final

(repechage if 1st loses first game)


Format

Qualifying

All bowlers bowl 10 games in one appearance, with both divisions bowling together. Bowlers change pairs after every 2 games, Even numbered lanes move 2 pairs to the right, odd numbered lanes move 2 pairs to the left. Pinfall carries over to Round 2.

Round 2

The top 12 Boys and the Top 8 girls will bowl a further 6 games scratch. Pinfall is dropped after this stage.


Stepladder Final

The top 5 Boys and the Top 5 Girls will rolloff in a Stepladder final (in their respective divisions).
game 1 : 5th v 4th v 3rd
game 2 : Winner of game 1 v 2nd
Final : Winner of game 2 v 1st (repechage available for 1st in the event of losing first game)

The winners of the Final will be the 2003 Junior Brisbane Cup Champions.



Tournament conditions

1. This is a scratch event which is open to all bowlers who are TBA or TQI Registered Players. All games will be bowled in accordance with TBA rules and regulations.
2. No bowler is permitted to have more than one entry in this event.
3. Check in and briefing is detailed in the tournament schedule on day one only.
4. Bowlers must wear acceptable attire. Jeans, track suits, collarless T shirts or shorts (men only) are not permitted.
5. Should a tie occur for 5th place after Round 2, a one game playoff will decide the winner. Should a tie occur during the step ladder final, a one game playoff will be held to decide the placing. Should a further tie occur, a 9th & 10th frame playoff will be played until the tie is broken. For all other placings, a tied pinfall will mean a shared position and the prizemoney for the positions occupied by the bowlers will be shared.
6. The Tournament Director reserves the right to check any bowler’s equipment at any time. Any equipment found to breach TBA regulations will result in disqualification with no claim on any prize money.
7. Bowlers are not permitted to smoke whilst actually competing in this tournament.
8. Bowlers not checked in by the advertised time will be disqualified and will have no claim on any prize money.
9. Any matters not covered in these conditions will be decided by the Tournament Director whose decision will be final.
