Welcome to the next event on the 2003 AMF Brisbane Region Bowling Circuit - the Brisbane Cup.
AMF are committed to improving the scratch Tournament Scene in Brisbane. As well as our regular bowlers, we are inviting the many 180-190 average bowlers who bowl League to come along and bowl in these events.
With only one squad, this tournament has been limited to 60 bowlers. Be sure to get your entry in early or you will miss out on this new format 2003 Brisbane Cup.

Format

Qualifying
Bowlers bowl 10 games in one appearance. Bowlers change pairs after every game, Even numbered lanes move 1 pair to the right, odd numbered lanes move 1 pair to the left. There is a prize payout based on the positions after qualifying. Pinfall does not carry over to the final.

Top 14 “Best of 3 Games” Final
The top 14 bowlers on scratch pinfall from the 10 games will move into the Top 14 “Best Of 3 Games” final. Based on the finishing positions from qualifying, bowlers will compete in a best of 3 game head to head match against the bowler they are drawn against (see back page for draw)

Should a bowler win game 1, the score will be 1-0. A second win means the score will be 2-0. A third game is only required in the event of a bowler taking an unbeatable 2-0 lead.
In the event of a tied result after 3 games, the bowler with the highest pinfall from the 3 games will advance to the next round.
Bowlers will win a bonus dollar amount for winning each round. 1st & 2nd qualifier will get a bye through the first round, and automatically win the bonus amount for the first round.
In the final round, if there is a tied result after 3 games, bowlers will continue to bowl until a one game difference in wins is established. The person who win the final will be declared the 2003 Brisbane Cup Champion.
