SUPER LEAGUE KNOX

Hi guys,

Just a quick note to remind you all that nominations for the Holt Challenge Victoria teams close this Friday 27th March. Super League Knox had 7 representatives travel to Adelaide last year to participate in the Holt Challenge Carnival. We are hoping to see the same support this year!

This years event will be held in Canberra in September. The trials will be held on the 4th/5th April at Mentone Bowl, but entries must be in by last mail this Friday!

You must be over 18 (sorry Dylan - you can join us in a few more years!) and average cut-offs are as below:

Restricted (male 184 / female 174)
Classic (male 199 / female 189)

There are entry forms at Knox (bright orange - just ask at the desk) or you can download one from the Holt Challenge Victoria thread here on Total Bowling.

It's a great event, and a great opportunity for bowlers with a sub-200 average to compete against and socialise with other bowlers from around the country. If you'd like to know more - ask the Pappins, the Murphy's or Ben Adams re just how much fun it is! Or send me a private message if you have any questions re the roll-offs.

Hope to see you there!
Briana Tomasinski

G'day Joe,
I would love to bowl in it mate but my highest league average at Boronia is 219. Never mind, there's always next year.
Please support this event guys. Fun and long term friendship guaranteed :)

Dylan, you r mean. You bullied my team when I was not there. No respect for your por por. That's it I am coming back this Saturday whether the Doc ok it or not. And Alex, no more Jim Beam for you if you dont bowl above 200. What an excuse, all you drinkers. It doesnt calm yr nerves when u drink. You dont even know where the pins are.
Do we get extra money for being the wooden spooner???HAHA

AHAH actually Alex bowled better after a bottle of that Jim Beam. Then wen i bowled mine in the gutter he asked me to have a drink ahah.... 219 Average Alex never seen u bowl that in knox ahah:D .. Ivan came soo close to getting 300 and Alex and him were saying that Knox lanes were better coz u get value for money coz u get 2 balls and in boronia u just get a strike :D and goes and bowls 8 or 9 in a row so much for value for money ahah!!! anywaiiz a few more years mayb for that Holt challenge eeey wen ill b all grown up ahah!!! ma average is getting higher 160 sumfin now :O

So that's what my bowling style is called....."value for money" :D
Thanks for putting a positive spin on it Dylan!

You know turning 18 doesn't mean you "grow up" look at Alex, he must be 28 by now and he's still a kid :p

But seriously Dylan - we would love to see you bowling in the Holt Challenge in a few years time!

All I want to say is our league constitution is fair and it guarantees $200 for the last team ;)
Superb bowling by Ivan Aranda. All solid but just didn't have any carry. Never mind next time Ivan. William Vassil, Kirsten Ford and Kerry Murphy bowled very well for their average. No surprise for the bowler of the week.
Ms "Value for money",
I am 28 + :D

It was good to see most bowlers back from their easter break, it's a pity Vi couldn't have extend his holidays...Great bowling but I do feel sorry for Vi as he doesn't seem to get his moneys worth...majority of only 1 bowl a frame, maybe he should get a discount.

Mrs Legend

Vi doesn't need pity... just something to carry that awful 10 pin in the 12th... From the looks of it, he can't do much wrong at the moment.

BTW how have you been Alex.

I have been good Micky. Bowling wise...just struggling with the back injury mate.
Alex
Ps The word "pity" was used in line with Kerry's words of wisdom ;)

Hey Kerry, I do a special and not turn up for next Saturday as my 'skipped holiday'. How does that sound?

Discount .... hmmm, maybe instead a box of donuts. Hard to get bowler of the weekend prize even if I bowled 707 for it!! So hard and sad :(

I am sure we can work something out for your 707 series mate ;)
Bowler of the week will be a close one between Elena Mundy and Brian Taylor.

"Week 15 Standing Sheet is now available."

I'm confused. Week 15 (25/4) hasn't happened yet! Am I supposed to have time-travelled to bowl next Saturday already?

Hi all in Super League,

Can we go back to week 12 standing sheet. When I first went into the AMF leaderboard Knox Knights won 0 pt. I am sure at least 3 of my team mates including myself prebowled for that week. I would have at least got 2 pts for bowling my average. The score was subsequently changed to 13 pts. Is this right?
