So that the bowling side of it, now the more important part.
Friday----drinking
Saturday--drinking (Steve's Place)
Sunday----drinking
Monday----drinking
Tuesday---sleeping off drinking.

Thats the calander for the Easter Weekend for the Bin-Fubar team, so what you doing.

Maybe when I get back we all have that last ditch effort at Rachuig and we'll use Easter as part of our Fundraising w/end

Better still we all go over for Australian Open and watch a few games of Footy, mind you I think when i come back my team may not exist. If so I will go for the Darwin Rangers

Yes your right Tom, nobody really cares hey, apart from Good Friday the rest of Easter is dead a bit like Gold Cup/Royal Show weekend

Perhaps if centre proprietors used this is as a Novelty w/end it may get the social bowler playing a fun tourney which triggers off the League bowling questions.

Thousands of ideas.

But lets save them for now and take over a house when we all play rachuig and get our trip paid for in one weekend

When you left, you might as well have turned off the lights.
If you were here, there would have been an Easter t,ment.
The imaginations of centres are buried deep in apathy.
Its too difficult to get a large vat and throw lots of ingredients into it and come up with a nice Easter brew.
Throw in scratch bowling..handicap bowling ..juniors..now throw in prizes..money (from entry fees).. then a long long long list of vouchers..for the top 100 bowlers..$100.00 voucher,$95.00,$90.00 etc..(from Sponsors like restuarants,cafes,river cruises,hotels,liquor stores,casino,hairdressers,florists,etc,etc..and not just one $100.00 ,$95.00 .voucher
Have loads of lane awards..Vouchers(sponsored by centre pro shop..cafeteria)
Ball bag shoes accessories ,10 free games,9,8,7 etc..for mystery game scores..
meanwhile lots of raffles..cartons of beer,spirits,meat trays,seafood trays,buckets of Easter eggs,electrical goods etc etc.
Something where 90 % of the entries will win something.
Muliple entries,6 game blocks,run in squad times over 3 days..huge tournament board listing the prizes,and who is sitting where.
Dedicate lanes..so social bowlers can still bowl,and also buy raffle tickets to boost the prize fund for the t,ment.
If you came back,and we poached Ken Sheehan,the master of imagination (Vatmaster)
Stax and all of us would have something instead of nothing.

Divide up your 24 lanes into 3 lots of 8 lanes.
Oil to 15 ft on the first 8 lanes,30 ft on the next 8,and 45 on the last 8.
9 game blocks..3 on each condition.
Run over 2 days..18 games.No stepladder,first past the post.
I remeber at Milton you couldnt walk for all the balls that were brought into the centre.
$1000.00 first prize...or really special with lots of sponsors.

Rachuig fund raising.
Off all the fund raising ideas through the years..ive never seen a Rachuig team/committee decide to run their own t,ment,as a fund raising avenue.
Funny how some things are so obvious sometimes,that it goes totally unnoticed.
Two divisions..scratch..handicap.
6 game blocks.(the vat is a bottomless pit)
Singles,doubles (father and son)..mother/daughter..4 game 3 person/4 person/5 person league teams..invitation only to league leader teams.(more in the vat)
Tons of raffles,tons of giveaways,almost per frame..bit of moonlight bowling stuff.
On the scratch side whatever each Rachuig bowler wins..50% winnings goes into the fund raising pot...(top contributor becomes instant Captain.lol)
Blitz every centre for a month promoting the event..both day/nite leagues..juniors/Rachuig/Atbso/W.D..
You would imagine that 14 Rachuig bowlers bowling in as many leagues can entice at least 10 bowlers to enter..thats 140 entries minimum.Now add the juniors,WD,Atbso..you could look at some 600 plus entries.

Its fund raising that doesnt take any bowler out of their comfort zone,
State bowlers promoting the sport..what a novel idea.

You missed the BOLF day I ran a few years ago, now if I wanted i could have made money from that, but put all profits over the bar.

New Novel Ideas will get the punters in and even some blasts from the past ideas.

As a kid i remember at Cannington our end of year days. They had $1 Scotch Snr/Jnr dbl games and believe me the place was packed from 9am - 4pm. You do the sums every 15mins you have 24 games being played. Surely over a summer w/end when most Centres could set up 12 cannons and release could spare their centre for something like this

Another Bolf Day - Charge $30 instead of $25 that I charged get food and drink sponsored as I didnt last time and Bam more profit

Could you imagine if you went to each centre and said heres $500-$1000 we want to buy your centre for the entire day

Some centres in Perth wOULD NOT MAKE A $1000 over a weekend during the Summer months.

Just a thought
