Bloody 7 pins

Hi

I am a lefty (200 odd average if it matters) who throws a kinda large shot
and i get a fair share or strikes (bout an average of 6 a game)

But i also leave a buckload of 7 pins (usually every thing thats not a strike)
but it's almost always a flush shot
i throw a resonable amout of revs and my fingers are always in the ball so to speak.

my coach who for a time was craig blachutt said it was beacuse i was hitting the pocket "too well" is this the case?

i'd very much appreciate your help

Being a lefty myself, I too have struggled with the same problem from time to time!
In my experience I leave 7 pins when the angle of entry into the pocket is too sharp. I find if I increase my speed slightly, and tighten the line up, this changes the angle of entry and the 7 pin should carry!
Another thing to try is to keep everything the same, except move forward on the approach about 2 inches - the ball will not break as early , and change the entry point, and carry the 5 + 2!!!
Works for me, most of the time  , but I am an OLDER  leftie!!!!!!

cheers

7 pins

I hope you can handle this

The truth is

The ball is not "square" in the pocket, ask the bowlers who have been around for a while and seen the evolution of the game from wood to synthetics and EVERY surface (coating) in between.

Its a fact, and the truth.

"Listen" and you will hear, "see" and you will discover.
